Getting from Don Mueang Airport to Hua Hin
A Thai Go private transfer from Don Mueang Airport to Hua Hin covers 219 km and takes about 3 hours 10 minutes. Don Mueang is north of Bangkok and Hua Hin lies to the south-west, so the car takes the ring road around the centre. The driver meets you in arrivals and takes you straight to your hotel.
Route and travel time
From Don Mueang to Hua Hin is 219 km: the western Kanchanaphisek ring road around central Bangkok, then Route 35 (Rama II) through Samut Sakhon and Samut Songkhram and Route 4 (Phetkasem) through Phetchaburi to Hua Hin.
In normal traffic the drive takes about 3 hours 10 minutes. Rama II has been under roadworks for years and it backs up badly at weekends and on public holidays — if you are travelling on a Friday evening, allow an extra hour.
Meeting you at the airport
Don Mueang mostly handles low-cost and domestic flights. The driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign, helps with the luggage and walks you to the car — no operator desks to find.

There is no direct transport from Don Mueang: first a trip across the whole of Bangkok to Sai Tai Mai terminal or Hua Lamphong station, then a wait and another 3–4 hours on the road. After a flight that is half a day of travel.
The train to Hua Hin is slower than the bus and arrives at the station in the centre — from there you still need a taxi to a hotel on the coast. A beautiful ride, but not a way to travel with suitcases after a flight.
