Getting from Koh Chang to Bangkok
A Thai Go private transfer from Koh Chang to Bangkok covers about 360 km and takes around 6 hours including the crossing. The car collects you at your hotel on the island, boards the ferry and then drives to any address in Bangkok or straight to an airport terminal. The ferry is paid separately — ฿100 per person.
Off the island and across the mainland
The driver brings the car to your hotel on Koh Chang, so you load your luggage once. Then it is the ferry to the mainland, the Laem Ngop pier and about 325 km on Route 3 through Trat, Chanthaburi, Rayong and Chonburi, joining Motorway 7 or Bang Na–Trat on the way into Bangkok.
The fare is locked at booking and does not change with departure time or the amount of luggage. Tolls are included, and the destination in Bangkok is up to you: hotel, apartment, train station or airport terminal.
The crossing and your time buffer
The car boards the ferry with you and the ticket is paid on the spot — ฿100 per person, not included in the transfer. The crossing takes about 45 minutes, after which you carry on in the same car with the same driver.
If you have a flight out of Bangkok, build in a buffer: the ferry runs to a schedule and in high season a queue of cars forms at the ramp. We suggest leaving the island so that you reach the airport at least 3 hours before an international departure.
You can give us your flight number at booking — we then plan the pickup around the crossing and the drive rather than guessing. Morning ferries are the most predictable: shorter queues, and the mainland leg happens before the daytime jams on the approach to Bangkok.
Why not a bus or a minivan from the front desk
The bus leaves the pier on its own schedule: first you have to get there yourself, then wait for departure, then ride 5–6 hours to Ekkamai with stops. With an early flight out of Bangkok that simply does not add up.
The minivans sold at hotel reception collect passengers all over the island and only leave once the seats are full. Departure time floats and the luggage rides at your feet.
A Thai Go transfer is a flat per-car fare: from ฿4,000 for a Comfort car seating up to 3 and from ฿4,650 for a Minibus seating up to 9.
